The challenges and consequences of continuing high rates of youth substance abuse impact, directly or indirectly, every person and organization in our communities. Individual potential is ruined, lives are lost, friendships and families are torn apart, job applicant quality is reduced and the overall sense of safety within neighborhoods is diminished as consequences of youth alcohol and drug abuse and addiction. And, as prevention science demonstrates, all this painful damage is preventable!

Partnerships and collaboration are the keys for success. No one individual or organization can do the work that’s needed on the scale that’s required. As an AHC partner you will be able to join your, and/or your organization’s, capacities with the capacities of others in collaborative efforts to create communities in which underage drinking and youth drug abuse are made more difficult and less accepted.
