Religious Organizations

For many people in our communities, faith-based organizations can be the first line of response to the challenges of substance abuse and addiction. Area religious organizations often host 12-step recovery meetings, prevention education programs as well as family and parenting support classes. Many religious organizations also offer counseling and spiritual direction for individuals and families impacted by substance abuse and addiction.

Local religious organizations provide important resources that support strong families and healthy child development. Many faith-based organizations sustain quality youth programs and offer opportunities for families to become involved in vibrant communities.
